Deciem have many brands under their umbrella known as 'THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY', and The Ordinary was the brand to bring high end clinical formulations into the hands of consumers at budget friendly prices. I mean, BUDGET FRIENDLY.

TESTING OUT $2.80 BEAUTY PRODUCTS || Daiso Cosmetics || #RivetReview

Korea and Japan are leaders in designing cosmetics. Every beauty trend we are seeing has been inspired in some way by these innovations. A lot of cosmetic manufacturing is done in Korean laboratories, too. Step in DAISO, a Japanese variety store that caters to the masses at an unbeatable price, with their own brand of beauty products.

I have never used any of Daiso's brand of cosmetics before; I've really only stuck to the home improvement, stationery and crafting supplies, and beauty accessories since discovering the store a few years back. I just didn't have faith in the brand's cosmetics because of cruelty free status and the ingredients + directions not being available in English. There were several recalls for personal care items in the past due to labelling, but it looks like the QC of Daiso Australia has brought this into line more recently.

HydroSkin: Hydrating Skincare - #RivetReview

Water is the elixir that keeps us alive – the simple H2O molecule makes up 70% of our body's structures and is CRITICAL to looking good, and you know, being not dead. Dehydration is a major factor in skin looking and functioning poorly, and a condition that isn't always easily treated by drinking more water; sometimes the skin needs a little bit of help from the outside with the hero active, HYALURONIC ACID.

HydroSkin Travel/Starter Pack - Cleanser, Hydro Mist, [HA] Serum and C Moisturiser

The aesthetically pleasing, sleek and shiny silver airless pump bottles are the perfect storage for volatile actives.

HydroSkin were exhibitors at Beauty Expo Sydney (back in August 2016), one of the vendors I visited and chatted to. Being a new brand on the market, they really got their marketing gear on with branded bottles of water, brochures and even running a competition in partnership with Australia's version of reality show The Bachelor. When I received a DM stating that I had won a Travel/Starter Pack, I was so excited!
