8 TIPS FOR GOING CRUELTY FREE WITH YOUR COSMETICS || Rivet Licker

I chose to go Cruelty Free with my cosmetics back in 2012, and it has been a world of discovery of interesting brands and products, it was very hard to start out, but I eventually built my entire beauty blog around it. Now I want to give back to people outside of my niche audience.

DISAPPOINTING PRODUCTS || Makeup, Skincare, Haircare || #RivetReview

I get to try out a lot of products as a blogger, and while I don't like to be negative (without constructive feedback), I do like to be honest.

Cruelty Free Cosmetics || NUDESTIX AND THE CHINA LOOPHOLE || Rivet Licker

A few weeks back, I touched on the subject of Cruelty Free (CF) Cosmetics, and how NARS decided to ditch their animal friendly stance to enter the Chinese market. I learned a few things after speaking with Jenny Frankel, co-founder of NUDESTIX, over DM. She gave me the information I wanted to communicate.

NUDESTIX are a Cruelty Free brand based in Toronto, Canada. Their products are sold exclusively in Sephora stores in Australia, and I met the team when I attended the Sephora Exclusive Brands Showcase last year. I have not been to subsequent events, but the whole conversation started there in 2016 when Super-Mum and Entrepreneur, Jenny and I were talking about animal testing and the Chinese market.

Dupe? Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus & Gel vs Australis Tag Team Brow Pencil & Gel - #RivetReview

I love finding product dupes. They're a great way to get a similarly performing formula or a colour match at a more wallet friendly price point. In today's post, the focus is on a product from Sephora, versus a product from Priceline. Which one will win?

Nudestix vs Australis

Nudestix and Australis are two brands I hold up in my highest echelon. Both are cruelty free and boast a wide array of high quality products in on-trend colours, but when I discovered that one of the new releases from the latter, a drugstore favourite in Australia, resembled a product extremely similar to the former, at less than half the price, I was intrigued to compare the two.
