AUSTRALIS TURNS 30! Swatches + NEW Products October/November 2016

As of October 2016, Australis Cosmetics has been an Australian icon for 30 years. In 1986, just under two years before my arrival, this fresh brand of cosmetics hit pharmacy shelves to appeal to the female youth of this land. This brand has always had affordable products and on trend colours, definitely appealing to me when I was a teen! (Who remembers those sticky lip glosses from around 2001, one similar in colour to Velourlips Tok-i-o, and a chocolate brown?)

Vintage perfume packaging and promotional material.

Last week, I received a PR package full of the new goodies; it brightened up what was a really bad week and I was also invited to be a guest at the 30th birthday celebration at the Ivy Penthouse where we were showered with great food and drink, great company, and a great presentation. Our goodie bags were packed to the brim with new releases that have already hit shelves, or will be available as of November. This means I have plenty of swatches to show! All products are accredited by Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) and many options are Vegan!

First up, we have the latest products to hit the shelves at Priceline and available online from Australis (international shipping available to select countries). Swatches can be found towards the end of this post.

An assortment of newly released products and colours.
NEW - October 2016
Australis are known to bring the big trends in makeup to the average consumer through widespread availability at an affordable price. All individual items are $25 or under.

Match Maker Shade Adjusting Drops - $19.95 are the drugstore answer to getting your foundation colour right. They do not alter coverage, they simply lighten or darken your foundation and work with any of the foundations in the range. I found that Oh2Glow, whilst the formula was amazing, the lightest shade was that little bit too dark, and I now can get it PERFECT with the Lightening drops. The Darkening drops will come in handy in my pro kit.

Metallix Cream Eyeshadows - $9.49 welcomes three new shades with names inspired by musical artists.
EyeGasm Liner "Dark Green".

EyeGasm - $12.95 - $14.95 is a new line of four liquid eyeliners with felt tips, and a mascara, all waterproof. I wore Dark Green to the 30th birthday event, and even with a watery eye, it stayed put.

Hello Bright Eyes Illuminating Under Eye Concealer is a lightweight colour correcting concealer in a click-tube with brush applicator that comes in the famous "Banana" shade, a creamy yellow to correct blue under the eyes, and "Musk", a new pink based shade to help brighten dull areas under the eyes.

Tag Team Brow Pencil + Gel - $14.95 allows you to draw in and shape your brow, then set it in place. I got the colour "Black", because the PR team can see my naturally black eyebrows from a mile away! The triangular pencil allows for precision strokes and the clear gel sets brow hairs into place. It comes in four shades.

Draw The Line Brow Marker - $12.95 (yet to be opened) is a waterproof liquid eyebrow pen. It comes in three shades.

NOT PICTURED in new releases: High Life Illuminating Strobe Powders, EyeGasm Mascara, Brow Lift Highlighter & Concealer, Hold 'Em Up Brow Pomade. All available now.

Gifts and new products available in November 2016.
NEW - November 2016
Australis have some great products hitting the shelves in time for Christmas gifting, and yes, this includes gift packs!

THE VAULT - $49.95 includes the best sellers; Take Me On Tour Contouring Kit, Ready Set Go Finishing Powder, Metallix Eyeshadow "Gold Gaga", Velourlips Matte Lip Cream "Doo-Bai", Liquid Liner "Black", The Original Primer and Mini Finishing Spritz.

Blend Friends Trio Makeup Sponges - $14.95 are a set of three different shapes and sizes of sponges to blend foundation and concealer from large areas to the nooks and crannies that require precision, yes, it's a mini sponge behind the zebra! Also, how cute is the packaging?!

BBH Blush, Bronze & Highlight Palette - $16.95 offers the two classics "Banana" and "High Life" powders, along with the "Sunkissed" Bronzer and three blush shades from the Show Some Cheek range, "Fame", "Ablaze" and "Sinful".

My little stash!
Make Me Over Brush and Bag Set - $24.95 contains three brushes and a carry bag, perfect for on the go. 101 Now You See Me concealer brush, 102 Woke Up Like This foundation brush and 103 Complexion Perfection multi purpose brush.

Fake Eye-D Eyeshadow Palette - $24.95 15 shades of eyeshadow in the one palette. A mix of shimmer and matte finishes, sitting on the cooler side of the colour spectrum, see neutral blending shades, deep smokey blacks, olive greens and greys. Some of the shades spark reminiscence to Those Shmokin Eyes palette (as worn to the party). I can't wait to show what looks I come up with using this beauty!

NOT PICTURED: Strobe Lights Illuminating Powder Trio Palette, Queen C Cream & Powder Contouring Kit.

SWATCHES

Product names and shades. Notice Banana almost disappears.

Banana disappears on me. Pale skin problems.

Left to right, top to bottom. Smokey, cool shades.
Strobe Lights Palette

Nothing formally set in stone, yet, but I am trying to organize a giveaway of some of these products to one of my readers! I hit 1500 on Instagram soon too, so it may coincide! ;)

It is with great thanks to Australis Cosmetics, all products were supplied as PR samples and my thoughts are honest. All prices are in Australian Dollars ($AUD) and are accurate at the time of publishing.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY, AUSTRALIS!
