#RivetReview Archive - Part Eight

It has been a long time since I have updated the archive, so we continue where we left off. Part eight perfectly involves skincare brand Ciencia8 and some coconut love from Palmer's.

Moving up!

Ciencia8 Cleanse8 Gel Cleanser [Gift]

Original Review:
I have been using this several weeks now, so I can give my thoughts on it.
I have very mixed feelings about this cleanser. It has felt rather, not moisturizing, but not completely stripping. If you really need a deep clean, this will do it. The texture of the lather isn't as silky as other gel cleansers and takes work to build it up (Sydney isn't known for hard water, lathers build up easily). To me, it's the texture thing that puts me off, but I have not noticed any ill effects to my skin, and in fact, my skin has actually improved a lot recently, and this product has been a staple in my shower (I tend to shower in the morning).
So I'm conflicted as to whether I like it or not. Personally, I don't like the lather, but it's not a bad cleanser by any means.

Any new thoughts?
I felt that this cleanser lasted forever. I was literally using it everyday and it never seemed to get used up. It wasn't my favourite, as you can tell by the original review, but for longevity, it won by a million miles.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Shampoo + Conditioner [Purchase]

Original Review:
My hair LOVES this duo. They are very similar to my other, salon variety, shampoo and conditioner, with a retail price of half. This stuff performs. You can shampoo twice without entirely stripping your hair, and it cleans very effectively, especially if you use a lot of product like gel, wax, hairspray and dry shampoo. The conditioner is thick and creamy, and it allows for easy combing through in the shower. I've used conditioners that just don't even allow you to comb your hair with it in (wide tooth comb for wet hair, never a brush). It also rinses out completely, without leaving a greasy film on each strand. It also smells like coconuts.
Really, if you bleach/colour your hair and/or have the fine strands, you will love this. Salon quality, gorgeous results, easy on the wallet! Worthy investment on my part.

Any new thoughts?
I still think this shampoo and conditioner pair was the best thing ever, but I was annoyed by the size difference; the shampoo was 400mL and the conditioner, a tiny 250mL, both at the same price point. I believe the packaging has been changed since the redesign.
