Indeed Laboratories EYSILIX "INSTANT EYE RESCUE" - #RivetReview

I can't begin to describe how annoyed I have been with my eyes lately. Between medications, sleep problems, and just generally being unwell, my eye area has begun to suffer. It wasn't until my friend pointed out the bags under my eyes that I needed to do something about it. Eysilix to the rescue!

Old packaging.

Indeed Labs is a Canadian cosmeceutical brand that brings active ingredients to the consumer at drugstore price; the professional quality of anti-ageing and preventative formulas into the hands of the everyday person.

Eysilix Instant Eye Rescue is an eye cream designed to treat 10 issues of the eye area including puffiness, dark circles, crow's feet, fine lines, hydration, texture, elasticity, circulation, stress, and fatigue. Given that I have experienced all of these recently, aside from crow's feet, I needed this eye cream in my routine.

The formula contains 10 peptides, and botanical extracts to improve the contours of the eyes both instantly and over the long term.

Eyeliss1 – A botanical/synthetic peptide complex, manufactured by Sederma, used in formulation to reduce puffiness and increase microcirculation
Dermaxyl2 – A synthetic peptide complex, manufactured by Sederma, used in formulation to repair the cellular matrix
Eclaline3 Lupine lipopeptides, manufactured by Silab, used in formulation to improve microcirculation and restore skin's luminosity
Shea Butter – A triglyceride commonly used in skincare as an emollient, to add moisture to the skin
Olive Fruit Oil – Emollient and antioxidant
Alfalfa Seed Extract – Antioxidant

The product comes in a tube with a narrow dispenser on the end to make sure you only get the amount of product you need. The cream is thick, but not heavy in texture. It is recommended to be used in the morning and evening.

Thoughts?
I had to get my rheumatologist to approve my use of this, because it contains Alfalfa derivatives, a no-no with autoimmune disease; but given the small concentration, I have not had any complications during use. I have only been using Eysilix at night, and have only had some minor success with it. My eye bags look slightly diminished after a few weeks of using the product, but they keep returning when I'm having a flare up. Although the product describes itself as having "instant" results, there is no visible difference upon application, other than hydration. I also found the formula to sometimes ball up around my eyes when I rub my temples

I like the texture and feel of the skin around my eyes when I used this. It works well as an eye cream, just remind me to leave it be and not massage my eye area once it has been applied!

Eysilix Instant Eye Rescue  15mL – $34.99AUD and the rest of the Indeed Labs range is available from Priceline.

  2. I really want to use a good eye cream but everytime I put anything on my eye area, I get damn milia. Reducing those damn dark circles would be awesome otherwise. I didn't even know about that with autoimmune illnesses. Is there anything else to worry about?

    1. Aww geez! Milia are annoying.

Alfalfa is the biggest concern with rheumatic diseases, most other things are general precautions. There's a compound in it called canavanine, which can worsen the activity. It sucks, I like alfalfa.
