#RivetReview Archive - Part Two

These reviews started to get a little more detailed, but still aren't up to the standard paragraphs that I tend to write these days.

I assure you, this is a different post.

Limited Edition Kit.
Alpha-H Hello Hydration Kit [Gift]

Original Review:
“Alpha-H Skincare "Hello Hydration" kit contains the original Liquid Gold 5% Acid Toner, a 5% day serum and a 14% night repair serum. I use the acid toner a few times a week, at night, and alternate with the other serums. I absolutely love Liquid Gold. It fits into my skincare routine perfectly. I use the day serum at night, you know, reasons, and I have to rinse off the night repair serum (after a few minutes), it's just too strong for me. Non sensitive skin will tolerate it better.

All in all, my skin has improved so much after incorporating Liquid Gold into my routine. I have plump, exfoliated and clear skin now. No need for my steroid cream!”

Any new thoughts?
Liquid Gold means business. It helped clear up dermatitis on my face and everyone that I know who has tried it have high praises.

All about that base.
Face of Australia FaceBase Primer [Gift]

Original Review:
This is the FOA FaceBase Primer. It's a light primer that I like to use as a moisturizer/sunscreen. It does have a dewy finish, which I'm not a fan of, but once you get your foundation and/or powder on, it works well to keep your skin hydrated and your makeup in place. I do like Face of Australia and this product is no exception. Get it!”

Any new thoughts?
I didn't use this as much as I had liked to, but whenever I did, makeup would stay put. I'd consider repurchasing it.

Dear Lara, try to wear what you are promoting in the photo.
Models Prefer Argan Infusion Foundation [Purchase]

Original Review:
This is the Priceline house brand, Models Prefer Argan Infusion Foundation in the lightest shade, Shell. It is a light to medium coverage foundation that goes on smoothly and blends easily. You will need to use a concealer if you need extra coverage as it won't cover or cancel out unwanted pigmentation and spots, the concealer from this collection is very good, but it doesn't come any darker than the medium, which sucks for the dark folk. I have to say, even though this is the lightest shade, it is one shade too dark for me, but I can make it work if I blend it enough and use a mineral finish powder for a little extra coverage and colour matching. The finish is on the dewy side, making it good for drier skin and it wears really well. For around $17, you're getting a quality product, but alas, does not cater to all skin tones, namely fair/porcelain and darker tones.”

Any new thoughts?
I still like this foundation, however I have to mix it down with a lighter foundation to get the right colour. It feels like a BB Cream because of how light and moisturising it is.

Must use eye cream.
Innoxa Organic Brightening Eye Cream [Purchase]

Original Review:
Finished up my night routine with the Innoxa Organic Brightening Eye Cream. I like this eye cream. It's light and hydrating. I've noticed with a lot of eye creams and treatments that they leave a tight feeling. This doesn't, that's why I love it.”

Any new thoughts?
I liked this eye cream whilst it was still fresh, but I didn't find myself using it regularly enough to warrant results. I did like it for how it left the delicate skin around my eyes feeling after application.

There will definitely be more archive posts like this before the reviews started to get a lot better. Watch this space!
